The Cadillac of Hand Dyed Silk Ties

In 2000 Fran Cey and Judy Solomon joined together to create Class Act Designs. With experience in the gallery arts industry and jewelry design, our business evolved to focus exclusively on the production and sales of their handmade decorative silk ties. 

Beautiful in and of themselves, our silks perfectly set off charms, pendants, precious and semi-precious stones and beads in bracelets or necklaces, adding color and texture to jewelry designs.  A simple knot secures the tie, allowing its length to be adjusted. Crimp beads with stones or a clasp can be added to make the endings even more appealing.

We sell our product to craft and bead shops across the country as well as to individual designers and craft artists. We have expanded our sales into Japan, Australia, Mexico City, Puerto Rico, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, England and France. Our superior quality and consistency make our silks a favorite of high-end jewelry designers including Catherine Michiels, whose designs have been worn by Angelina Jolie, Julia Roberts, Naomi Watts, Rachel Ray and Elton John, to name a few.  

We take great pride in the quality of our product.  We do all of the sewing and dying ourselves in our West Hills and Woodland Hills, California studios. We measure and cut the silks in the lengths we need, then serge each edge on a professional machine to resist fraying and tearing.  This may not be the case with our competitors’product.  We take great care in selecting and mixing our dyes, and we dye in small batches of 100 pieces.  We are always coming up with new combinations of silk colors and contrasting stitching and appreciate the input on color ideas from our customers. When you order from Class Act Designs you are interacting with us directly.  We are responsive to our customers’ requests, we process orders immediately upon receipt and happily handle returns or exchanges.  Our customer feedback has been consistently positive.  See our Customers Comments link.  We have received very few requests for exchanges and have had only one complete return in our years of doing business. 

Silk ties are sold individually or in a bundle of one of each color.  We offer our product to both wholesale and retail buyers. For buyers outside of the United States, you are most welcome!!
